Perfection in a Perfect Place
Never, ever have I seen a more beautiful spot on this Earth. My wife and I arrived late, near nightfall, yet there was the kitchen all lit up welcoming us with a warm meal. No sooner than we said "Hello" were we folded into be a part of their family. And that's the important word: Family. Everyone at the Diamond D made us feel like we were a part of their family. Kara took a couple of greenhorns like us and taught us how to ride (and boy do we love it now!); Tom guided to hidden places that afforded once-in-a-lifetime views. The food was awesome and plentiful, the accomodations outstanding, the peace and quiet surreal, and the night sky intoxicating. To get away from It All and to be immersed in all that Nature has THIS IS THE PLACE. We cannot wait to go back. Don't forget your telescope!

The Service Here Was The Best
I stayed at Diamond D this past August with my two boys 12 and 15. I wasnt prepared for the warmth and hospitality that the Demorest family bestowed on me and my family; there was nothing that they wouldent do for us. I've stayed at 5 star hotels and the service here was the best. From the majestic beauty of the surroundings, the contentment my children felt feeling they could ride horses as well as they did when they left, the comaraderie of the whole staff, the wonderful activities for the kids; I cant say enough good things about these people and the surroundings. For 2 weeks it felt like being at home but better. The food was spectacular and I have never seen stars as bright and plentiful before being from the east coast. My children didnt miss T.V. or electronic games they were happy in this down home environment where there was plenty for them to do. The young staff kept them busy and there were plenty of other children for them to play with. This was my first time at a dude ranch and I have to say that even though there are so many ranches to choose from, I couldent imagine it being better somewhere else. I will return to Diamond D as soon as I can.

Spectacular!
My husband and I have been visiting the ranch for years. I especially enjoy hiking in the surrounding mountains. Whether it's a quick power hike before breakfast, a stroll along the river, or a day-long trek up to Pinyon Peak, it's all accessible right from your doorstep. The country is simply beautiful. Every year I find new places to explore. Then, of course, there is always good food and wonderful company waiting back at the lodge!
