Kara Demorest is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has been training clients since 2004. After years of running and training for various marathons, Kara realized she wanted to help others to meet their physical goals as well. She specializes in total body strength training, including: core, resistance, balance, reactive, and cardio. Kara also spends time, during the summer months, training guests at her family guest ranch, The Diamond D Ranch, located near Stanley, Idaho. In June Kara hosts “Health week” at the ranch, including: yoga, Pilates, personal training, trail running, massage, mindful eating, and horseback riding. She finds horseback riding to be very therapeutic and physically beneficial, and enjoys spending four months of the year taking guided horseback trips in the Frank Church Wilderness. Kara will help you to reach your physical goals, so you can continue on doing the things you love in life with strength, balance, and confidence.
Kim Stewart-Owner of Power House Pilates in Boise, Idaho is a certified Pilates instructor through The PhysicalMind Institute. Kim is the first certified GYROTONIC instructor in the Treasure Valley. She has been involved in the fitness industry for over fifteen years holding many certifications including personal training, yoga, Spinning, plyometrics, GYROKINESIS, and nutrition. She has completed the Level 1 foundation training in GYROKINES, GYROTONIC Application for Golf Workshop in April 2005, and is currently working towards her Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor training. Kim has played competitive tennis since 1977. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Speaking from Chapman University.
Kim was introduced to Pilates fourteen years ago in Los Angeles, CA. She has helped many people over the years including her physically challenged son, Grant. Due to Grants physical limitations, Kim has gained an excellent understanding about the importance of flexibility, balance and range of motion. Typical methods of exercise do not always develop these three important concepts.
After years of personal training using the Pilates method and working with her sons disability, Kim has gained the knowledge and experience to help her clients achieve their individual goals. As Kim always says, We are here to help everyone no matter what their personal limitations are.
Patty Johnson After many years of recreational aerobics, dance, running, biking and gym memberships, Patty Johnson discovered yoga and fell in love with its power to connect body, mind and spirit. She has been practicing for 9 years, studying with various teachers in Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Twin Falls, Hawaii and Boise. She completed her Evolve Teacher training certification in 2006 and deepened her understanding and appreciation for mindful practice by attending a weeklong retreat in Mexico with Barbara Vonair in 2007. Patty seeks to inspire her students through a love and passion for yoga that is grounded in self-kindness, honesty and non-competitive practice integrating body, mind and spirit. Her approach to teaching focuses on breath, flow and relaxation, gently encouraging students to work within themselves to seek deeper gratitude and connectivity. She currently teaches at Facets of Healing Studio in Boise, Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise and by private appointment.
